New Hartford home damaged by morning blaze

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - A garage fire has damaged a home in New Hartford, Saturday.
According to the New Hartford Fire Department, the fire broke out just before 10 a.m. at a residence on Sherman Circle.
The fire originated in the garage of the home, and according to officials, it is believed that some kind of live ammunition was in the home that threatened to cause the fire to become even more unstable.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire relatively quickly, however, there has been significant flame and smoke damage reported as a result.

No injuries have been reported at this time, and we will provide more information as it becomes available.
