New Hartford sophomore aiming to be the next business mogul

By WKTV News

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg and Mike Marchio?
Marchio, 16, of New Hartford, could be slated to become the next young millionaire after starting his own business from scratch.
He is a member of the Entrepreneur Academy, a program that helps young visionaries jump start their own careers.
Currently a sophomore in high school, Marchio started his own printing business last January, and he named it "Toast Tees."
"First I was doing printing for friends, a lot of small orders," he said. "Then I thought of a business idea. Why not have a small printing business, and instead of having 12-24 shirts you can get as little as one or as many as 1,000 or more."
With the help of his mother and older sibling, Toast Tees was created.
"They provided me with funds to start a business, and within eight months of printing, I paid them off completely."
Marchio's business has really taken off, with his printed products costing as little as 50 cents all the way up to $100-plus. With his business strategy, and dedication, anything is possible.
