New London man returns home from Afghanistan
NEW LONDON, N.Y. (WKTV) - It was all smiles for one area family on Saturday as Army Sergeant Joshua Mushak arrived home to Central New York after being on duty in Afghanistan.
Mushak is excited about seeing his four-month-old son who he was only able to see for six days back in November when he was born. He says being away from his family is difficult, but he is overwhelmed at the turnout of people at Saturday's gathering. Sergeant Mushak says, "It's crazy, I love it. It feels really good to know that there are people out there that really care about us and make sure we're taken care of." Mushak says he has a few months left in the army, but that this was his last deployment. |
