New York Mills woman accused of stealing from employer

(WKTV) - A New York Mills woman faces charges after she allegedly stole thousands from her employer, New York State Police said.

Vicki L. Gilbert, 40, of Greenman Avenue in New York Mills, is charged with one count of grand larceny and one count of falsifying business records.

According to authorities, from April 2012 to February 2014, Gilbert allegedly stole about $17,000 from Light's Auto Parts in Rome and Remsen while she worked there.

Gilbert was released to the custody of Oneida County Probation pending further court action.
