Village of Cooperstown Board proposes new tourism accommodation law

COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. (WKTV) -- Nearly 50,000 people gathered in Cooperstown this weekend for the National Baseball Hall of Fame induction and just a few months ago President Obama used the village as a backdrop to boost tourism nationwide.

New York schools facing millions in cuts with fiscal cliff

(WKTV) - If no agreement is reached with the approaching fiscal cliff, New York State is looking to lose about $164 million in federal funding for the 2013 -14 school year. Utica City Schools say this will bring an almost $1 million cut to their budget, Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES Superintendent says their schools will collectively face similar cuts.
