New gym set to open on Oneida Street

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - A building makeover could mean a health makeover for you.

The new home of the Body Alive Fitness Center is at 1301 Oneida St. The owners formerly owned City Gym, which closed before the owners moved closer to the roundabout.

The building has been fixed up and new equipment has been installed, as well as a juice bar and a classroom for aerobics and Zumba.

There will also be locker rooms with showers and tanning available.

The owner is excited to open and says it will help get the city in shape.

"I think it's going to be great for the inner city kids to have a place to go and do something proactive and feel good about themselves when they look in the mirror," Bob Donnelly, the owner of Body Alive Fitness Center, said.

They're still working on getting the gym ready, but doors open tomorrow regardless.
