New playground dedicated at Benton Hall Academy in Little Falls

LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. (WKTV) - Kids at Benton Hall Academy in the City of Little Falls have a new place to play as a new playground for students was officially dedicated on Friday.

The previous playground was torn down in April of last year when it was deemed unsafe and the new playground, with natural hues, is made to last.

School District Business Manager Clete McLaughlin said the student body thanked a handful of donors on Friday who made the new digs possible.

"Little Falls, when it comes to its children, its schools, they've always been extremely supportive," McLaughlin said. "You see the facilities we have are beautiful, and every year we get the vote of the community in the budget vote even when it's difficult."

The community helped raise $126,000 over the course of 14 months, which was much more than the $100,000 projected for construction costs.
