New trial date set for in Westmoreland stabbing case

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A new trial date has been set for the Frankfort woman accused of trying to kill her husband in March.

Jenise Haddad-Smith is accused of stabbing her estranged husband, Todd Smith, and herself at the home of Todd's parents in Westmoreland.

The judge had to set a new trial date because Haddad-Smith's son, who's expected to be a witness in the case, is overseas and currently unavailable.

Her new trial date is January 18.
