HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Ilion man who was known to many area kids as "Harry Potter" pleaded guilty Friday in Herkimer County Court to a charge of first-degree attempted rape.

Jeremy Snyder was already sentenced in January of 2011 to 20 years to life in prison for raping a 13-year-old girl.

Snyder appealed his conviction and was set to receive a new trial next week, but in a quick turn of events, Snyder entered a guilty plea Friday.
