Norwich woman's ex-boyfriend now faces murder charge


(WKTV) - A Town of Oxford man now faces a second-degree murder charge after a Town of Norwich woman died Sunday, the Chenango County Sheriff's Office said.

William H. Danielson, 48, of the Town of Oxford was originally charged with attempted murder in the second degree and robbery in the first degree. He is now being charged with second-degree murder after 39-year-old Lucinda Knoll of Bourbon Street died on Sunday.

According to officials, the 911 center received a report that a woman was assaulted and robbed in her driveway on Bourbon Street in the Town of Norwich at about 6:45 a.m. on Friday. Danielson is the victim's former boyfriend.

Danielson is being held in the Chenango County Correctional Facility without bail.

The sheriff's office is asking anyone who was in the area of Maple Grove Trailer Park around 6 a.m. on Friday who may have seen suspicious activity to please call (607) 337-1921 or (607) 337-1863.
