Notice from NYSDOT regarding arterial travel following implosion

UPDATE: Route 5/8/12 southbound will be open to traffic by 6:00 p.m.

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) Utica Regional Office has issued the following traveler advisory for motorists in Oneida County:

State Route 5/8/12 southbound will be reduced to one lane just beyond the Oriskany Street west exit. In addition, the Route 12 southbound ramp from Rte 5S /Oriskany Street will remain closed through the end of the day Monday, March 3, 2014 while minor bridge repairs are taking place as a follow-up to the Fay Street Building implosion.

Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling through the work zone and should pay particular attention to all traffic control devices.
