Nu-Air reps answer questions about unmanned drones

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - Representatives with Nu-Air answered commonly asked questions about unmanned drones Tuesday.

Griffiss is one of six sites chosen for drone testing. Up to this point, Nu-Air has only talked about drones in only technical terms. On Tuesday, Nu-Air Alliance Executive Director addressed concerns of the community by highlighting the positive uses of civil drones, including firefighting work and assistance to first responders.

"Most Americans have only been exposed to the military use of unmanned drones -- killer drones -- so that's the only image they have to place them in any sort of perspective," Brinker said.

Brinker says as one of the six sites, Griffiss will be a launching point for the new technology as it develops.
