UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - One suspect has been charged and another suspect is still sought after police say a DJ was assaulted and robbed outside a local club.

Police say the 24 year old victim was a DJ who had just gotten out of work at Club Toxic on Broad Street in Utica and was waiting for his ride. That's when two men approached him and began to punch him in the head and knock him to the ground, police said.

According to authorities, while he was on the ground, the suspects continued to strike the victim and demanded his money, taking his cell phone and Macbook before fleeing on foot southbound on Kossuth Avenue.

Utica Police have charged Jorge Torres, 24, of Utica with second-degree robbery but say they are still searching for the second suspect.
