One man hospitalized after two-car accident

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - A two-car accident sent a local man to a hospital Friday morning, New Hartford Police say.

Josiah M. Doxtader, 27, was taken to St. Elizabeth's Medical Hospital for non life-threatening injuries after the 8:10 a.m. accident.

According to police, Doxtader was northbound on Fairway Drive when his vehicle veered over the center line and sideswiped a vehicle driving southbound on Fairway Drive that was driven by James R. Bock, 48, of Whitesboro.

The collision sent Doxtader's vehicle colliding into a tree before his car came to rest in a front lawn. Bock's vehicle was sent into a ditch. He complained of head pain, but declined treatment.

Doxtader was issued a summons for failure to keep right and aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree.

Officials say the accident was not weather related.
