One sent to hospital after crash in Marcy
MARCY, N.Y. (WKTV) - At least one person was taken to the hospital Friday night after a 2-car crash in Marcy on River Road.
The crash happened at around 6:45 p.m. at the intersection of River Road and Flanagan Road.
Authorities said Robert D. Gleba, 34, of Utica was driving northbound on Route 49 near Flanigan Road when he tried to cross River Road and failed to see another vehicle pull in front of his car.
The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured but Gleba complained of back pain and was taken to an area hospital.
He was issued traffic tickets for failure to yield the right of way.
Officials said a child was involved in the crash and she was said to be okay after she was evaluated on the scene.
