Oneida County Public Market wraps up 2012 season

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Even though winter is finally here, good produce can still be found at the Oneida County Public Market in a nice warm environment. Saturday was the last day of the public market for 2012.

The Saturday stop at Utica's Union Station has become a weekly trip for many in the area.

Those who put on the market say this year has been a very good one. Beth Irons says, "The Oneida County Public Market is still in its infancy. It's only our second season, but we saw significant growth. We had really good attendance. We averaged between 500 and 550 people every week."

The Oneida County Public Market will open back up next year. Winter markets are scheduled for January 12, February 9, March 9 and April 13, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
