By WKTV News

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Oneida County Office Building at 800 Park Ave. is closed as of 11 a.m. Monday, August 5th.

The closure is due to the discovery of debris in the basement level. The air handling system was immediately shut down as a precautionary measure.

The building will lack a fresh air exchange while the cleaning is taking place.

People seeking emergency Social Services assistance are referred to the Paul Building at 209 Elizabeth Street, or the Rome Social Services Office at 228 West Dominick Street, Rome.

The Oneida County Office Building will reopen Tuesday and resume regularly scheduled operations.
