Oneida County officials play golf for good cause

MARCY, N.Y. (WKTV) - Oneida County fire crews and law enforcement officials squared off in the 15th annual Golf tournament, Sunday.
They play 21 courses and split the proceeds. With half going to children in the form of scholarships.
The other half goes to a different organization each year, with Believe 271 being the lucky group this year.
The story of how it got started came after fire crews started raising money for a brother diagnosed with cancer.
"Brian McQueen graciously turned down the money we tried to raise and said we should take this to another step," said Brian Healey, President of Believe 271. "So we've appointed a Board of Directors, and are raising money so we can give money to other firefighters who have life threatening illnesses."

Believe 271 raises money to help with medical expenses for firefighters in need.
