Oneonta woman accused of selling shed she didn't own

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - An  Oneonta woman faces charges after she allegedly sold a wooden shed she didn't own, the Otsego County Sheriff's Office said.

Shannon Lynn Gano, 39, of State Highway 7 in Oneonta, is charged with grand larceny.

According to authorities, the Delaware County Department of Social Services purchased the wooden Amish shed -- valued at more than $2,100 -- and stored it at Gano's home with the understanding that it was not her shed. In June, Gano allegedly sold the shed on Craigslist.

She was sent to the Otsego County Correctional Facility. If convicted, she faces up to four years in prison.
