Organizers take care of last minute prep for Boilermaker Road Race

By WKTV News

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Boilermaker Road Race is less than a week away and race organizers are advising runners to make sure they are drinking water every day, all week long.

All runners have been assigned a number at this point, and the bibs and labels are ready to go. However, despite that, there is still some last minute work to be done before the runners take to the course.

"Making sure we have all of the signs for the expo, the post-race party, the finish line," said Mary MacEnroe, the Boilermaker Media Relations Director. "Getting everything ready for the sale we will have at the expo."

The Expo is being held for the first time at Mohawk Valley Community College this year, and Tuesday kicks off a week of events, including a golf outing and youth olympics.

The Boilermaker schedule can be found online here.
