Oriskany Little League prepares for season after Floods of 2013

By WKTV News

ORISKANY, N.Y. (WKTV) - Last year's Oriskany Little League season was derailed by the flood waters that destroyed the field.

Finally, the program is getting ready to play ball once again!

The fields are still a work in progress, however, the program received funds to help build new dugouts, fencing, a concession stand, and more that has allowed them to reconstruct the field.

The funds were raised through a "Save Our Field" wristband sale, a golf tournament, and numerous other fundraisers that helps to gather $75,000 for the Little League.

The season celebration begins Saturday morning at 9 a.m., with a parade down Oriskany's, Utica St.
