Otsego County inmate accused of assault

(WKTV) - An inmate at the Otsego County Correctional Facility was arrested Wednesday evening and accused of assaulting another inmate.

Anthony Michael Palladino, 50, formerly of Oneonta and Utica, is accused of punching another male inmate in the face with his fist, causing a minor injury to the inmate, Otsego County Sheriff's Office said. The alleged attack happened Sept. 18.

The inmate received medical attention at the correctional facility. Palladino was charged with felony assault and issued an appearance ticket in the Middlefield court. Palladino was transferred to the New York State Department of Correctional Services in Elmira, NY, on a drug-related conviction.

Palladino, who has four felony convictions, faces up to 15 years to life in prison is convicted of the assault charge.
