Otsego, Chenango, Montgomery Counties eligible for SBA Disaster Loans

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKTV) - The U.S. Small Business Administration is offering financial help to counties in New York affected by Hurricane Irene.

Small businesses and most private, non-profit organizations in 15 counties are eligible to apply for SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans. The list includes, Otsego, Chenango, Montgomery, Hamilton, Broome, Clinton, Columbia, Franklin, Orange, Putnam, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Sullivan, Warren and Washington counties.

The following counties are eligible to apply for Physical and Economic Injury Disaster loans: Albany, Delaware, Dutchess, Essex, Green, Schenectady, Schoharie and Ulster.

Business and private non-profits can borrow up to $2 million to repair or replace disaster damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory or other business assets.

The deadline to return economic injury applications is May 31, 2012.
