COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. (WKTV)
- The Otsego County Board of Representatives voted three to one on Tuesday to move forward with a plan to privatize Otsego Manor, according to the Oneonta Daily Star.
Last week, a judge voided a previous vote, saying the board violated a law when it held a "secret meeting" in September.
The board must now start from the beginning if it wants to sell the 174 bed nursing home
In an effort to better explain the plan to privatize to the public, the Manor Committee will hold informational meetings, all to be held at 1:30 pm and run 90 minutes:
*March 16 - Worcester
*March 23 - Cooperstown
*March 30 - Oneonta
Exact locations for the forums have not been decided upon as of this writing.
Officials tell the Daily Star that additional meetings will be held in April and the scheduled will be announced once the dates and locations are determined.
