(WKTV) - Three Otsego County Jail inmates were charged with attempted assault after allegedly being involved with fights in the jail in early November, the Otsego County Sheriff's Office said.
Cory Andrew Barlow, 24, of Otsego, Anthony Joseph Zarrillo, 23, of Barker and Rayheem Joseph Robinson, 23, of Johnson City, are charged with felony attempted assault in the second degree.
According to officials, on Nov. 4 Zarrillo allegedly punched Robinson in the head. After a brief fight, Zarrillo fell to the ground and Robinson is accused of continuing to punch Zarillo in the head until correctional officers broke it up. Zarillo received medical treatment at Bassett Hospital for his facial injuries. Robinson was seen by the jail's medical staff.
On Nov. 10, Barlow is accused of going into another inmate's cell and punching a 23-year-old male inmate in the head and attempting to punch him again. Correctional officers were able to separate the inmates. The victim was seen by the jail staff.
Each defendant faces up to four years in prison is convicted.
