Palmieri talks to NEWSChannel 2 in first-ever interview as mayor

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The City of Utica has a new mayor as Democrat Robert Palmieri gets sworn in to take the helm of City Hall.

In a ceremony at city hall, Palmieri took the oath of office and will replace outgoing mayor David Roefaro who chose not to run for reelection. In November, Palmieri beat out four other candidates in the largest candidate field in city history.

He spoke with NEWSChannel 2 Friday after the ceremony for his first-ever interview as the 76th Mayor of Utica.
