Pedestrian struck by car in Utica, police reconstruct scene

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) Utica Police are investigating an accident that sent one woman to the hospital Sunday evening.

Officials say around 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, a 44-year-old woman stepped out in front of a car near the Court Street intersection on the North South Arterial.

Traffic was impacted for several hours Sunday evening. Officers were blocking off parts of the arterial and were directing traffic around. Some drivers tell us they were at a stand still for about 20 minutes.

The woman was taken to the hospital with injuries but right now we do not know how serious her injuries are.

Police were reconstructing the accident scene.
