Pennellville man accused of sexual contact with a child

ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. - An Oswego County man has been charged after allegedly having sexual contact with a child in Oneida County.

According to the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, on Saturday, March 17, Frederick Clinton Kimball Jr, 47, of Pennellville, was taken into custody and charged with first-degree criminal sexual act after police received a complaint that Kimball had sexual contact with a child less than 13 years of age.

Witnesses had notified authorities of the incident and Kimball fled the scene in a vehicle that was subsequently apprehended a short distance away, without incident, by responding Oneida County Sheriff's Deputies.

Kimball was arraigned in the Floyd Town Court and sent to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Members of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, Oneida County Sheriff's Department, and the New York State Police assisted in the investigation.

The victim is being offered counseling services through the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.

Authorities said the investigation is continuing and additional charges may be pursued.
