Person unaccounted for in Blandina St. fire is OK; was in Albany

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A woman who was unaccounted for following a fire in Utica is alright and had been in Albany this past week.

Utica Fire Marshal Ray Beck says Cassandra Ottera was the only person not accounted for, after a home at 765 Blandina Street caught fire Friday evening.

Fire investigators had spoken with AJ Wright representatives who said they spoke with Ottera on Sunday around 3:00pm.

Ottera later contacted the Fire Marshal's office stating she was in Albany at the time of the fire.

10 other people were left homeless.
