Plymouth VFD treasurer accused of taking funds from the department

(WKTV) - The treasure for the Plymouth Volunteer Fire Department faces a felony charge after he allegedly stole more than $10,000 from the department's bank accounts, New York State Police said.

Andrew Cushman, 25, of Plymouth, N.Y., is charged with felony grand larceny in the third degree.

According to officials, state police responded to the Plymouth VFD on State Route 23 for a reported theft of funds. A further investigation showed Cushman, a member and treasurer of the department, allegedly stole more than $10,000 from the fire department's accounts.

He was arraigned at the Plymouth court and released with no bail required.
