Police: DJ robbed outside of Club Toxic

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Authorities are investigating a strong-armed robbery that took place at Club Toxic nightclub early Saturday morning, according to Utica Police.

Officials say the 24-year-old victim was a DJ who had just finished up work inside the bar and was waiting for a ride around 2:15 a.m. on Broad Street.

Police say two men approached the victim and began to punch him in the head, knocking him to the ground. While on the ground, they continued to strike the victim and demanded his money, police said.

The suspects also stole the victim's cell phone and Macbook laptop.

Police say the suspects fled on foot southbound on Kossuth Avenue.

One suspect is described as a six-foot Hispanic male, over 200 pounds, around 20s in age and wearing a camouflage bandanna over his face.

The second suspect is also a Hispanic male, over six-foot, 200 pounds and appears to be in his 20's.

The white colored Macbook laptop has a New York Giants sticker on it, police said.
