Police: HCCC student sold crack cocaine out of off-campus dorm

HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Herkimer County Community College student from Staten Island has been arrested after police say he was selling crack cocaine at an off-campus dorm.

According to Herkimer Police, Varney P. Monyardeh, 20, has been charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance after police executed a 'no knock' search warrant Friday at his dorm on Third Ave in the village.

Police say they confiscated crack cocaine and packaging materials during the search.

Monyardeh was arraigned in Village Court and committed to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $30,000 bond.

The Herkimer Police were assisted by the Herkimer County District Attorney's Office in the investigation.
