HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Herkimer man has been charged after allegedly threatening to go to the homes and schools of police officers' children and kill them. According to Herkimer Police, Rayvonn M. Burks, 25 has been charged with two counts of making a terroristic threat. Police say that when Burks was taken into custody for an unrelated charge, he threatened the lives of police officers and then went on to say he would burn their house down with the officer's family inside. Burks is also accused of threatening to visit the homes and schools of the officers' children and shoot them with a rifle in retribution for his arrest. Burks was arraigned in village court and remanded to the Herkimer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $15,000 cash bail or $45,000 bond.
