Police: Update on standoff expected soon; Several schools closed, delayed

HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - Several schools in the valley are closed Thursday morning. Even more organizations are operating on delays as the standoff continues outside an abandoned buliding on North Main Street in Herkimer.

Police say they have the building surrounded and secured.

On Wednesday night, a team of armed officers went into the bar formerly known as Glory Days in search of Myers. Teargas and robots were deployed to help in the search.

We expect an update at some point Thursday morning.

Authorites say Myers has a cell phone with him, and that they have tried to contact him with no success.
