Police: Woman gets drunk at bar as children wait standing outside in cold

BOONVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Boonville woman is facing charges after she allegedly left her four children standing outside of a local pub as she sat at the bar inside and drank.

According to Boonville Police, 35-year-old Cary Croniser is facing four counts of endangering the welfare of a child. The children were ages five, nine, 10 and 13.

The incident happened Thursday night at a bar on Main Street in the village.

Police say they were alerted by a passing driver who saw the children standing in the cold without proper clothing.

Croniser was drunk, according to authorities, and became loud and disorderly when police approached her. She also reportedly used obscene language with the children present.
