Police: Woman stole handgun and silverware set from Utica home

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Police say that a Utica woman was charged last week in connection to the theft of a handgun and silverware from a south Utica home in December.

According to Utica Police, Allison Barone, 29, of Utica was charged Friday with third-degree grand larceny and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Police said Barone stole a silverware set and a handgun from a home on Farmington Road in Utica back in December 2012. Authorities said their investigation revealed that Barone sold the silverware set to a local pawn shop.

The stolen .22 caliber handgun was recovered by police.
