Police arrest woman in Herkimer motel stabbing

HERKIMER, N.Y.(WKTV) - Police have charged a Herkimer woman after a stabbing at a local motel.

Authorities say they found a man stabbed at the Budget Inn on Mohawk Street in the Village of Herkimer around 11 p.m. Sunday night.

The 47-year-old man was rushed to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica after he was found with multiple cuts to his head, neck, and upper back

Police have charged Donna Uszkiewicz, 24, of Herkimer, with secod-degree assault and second-degree harassment.

She's being held at Herkimer Correctional Facility in lieu of $40,000 cash bail or $80,000 bond.

Police say the incident is still under investigation.
