Police chase ends behind home deemed a nuisance

By WKTV News

(WKTV) - A  police chase Tuesday afternoon ended behind a home that Utica police say has been deemed a nuisance property.

The chase started as a traffic stop. While police are not yet releasing the name of the person involved, they do confirm the chase ended behind 1448 Kemble St.

Just a few weeks ago, there was a nuisance abatement hearing for that address, Utica Police Chief Mark Williams said.

Officers have responded to several shots fired calls at the address. During the recent hearing, it was decided the landlord can not rent the property out for six months.

A posted sign is expected to go up on the property in the second week of October.
