Police find illegal gun during traffic stop, Utica man faces charges

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV)-One Utica man has been arrested after police say he had an illegal gun.

Utica police officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1500 block of St. Vincent St. on Thursday.

Authorities say they discovered one of passengers, Mark Peak, 28, had a .25 caliber handgun.

Peak is being charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm, both are felony charges.
