Police to remain on watch for Myers overnight

HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - Police are confident that shooting suspect Kurt Myers is inside an abandoned building on North Main Street in Herkimer. Authorities say they have the building surrounded and secured.

Earlier Wednesday night, a team of armed officers went into the bar formerly known as Glory Days in search of Myers. Teargas and robots were deployed to help in the search.

Police say they do not plan to release more information Wednesday night and will provide updates again Thursday morning.

Authorites say that Myers has a cell phone with him, and that they have tried to contact him with no success.
