Police: trio chokes student in bathroom stall, steals his calculator when he passes out

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Proctor student has been charged, and others could be charged as the investigation continues into an incident in a bathroom stall at the High School on Monday.

According to Utica Police, around 9:10 a.m. On Monday, it is alleged that Eh Ka Ru, 17, of Utica, and two other males approached a victim as he was using a bathroom stall. Police said the victim was choked and lost consciousness. When the victim passed out, police said Eh Ka Ru went into the victim's book bag and stole a calculator.

Eh Ka Ru is now charged with second-degree robbery.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and other people could be charged at a later time.
