Downstate man charged in connection with afternoon stabbing

(WKTV) - A  29-year-old man is charged after a Friday afternoon stabbing in West Utica.

According to officials, a man was stabbed in the arm near 1517 Sunset Ave. around 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Kristopher Davis, 29, of Cambria Heights, N.Y., is charged with second-degree assault.

According to officials, the victim told police he received a call from his sister that Davis hit her. He says when he went to confront Davis, he allegedly raised a knife to stab him. The victim says he raised his arm in defense and wound up being stabbed in the arm. The wound is not life-threatening.
