Probe into crack cocaine distribution leads to three arrests

(WKTV) - A lengthy investigation into the distribution of crack cocaine in Chenango County has led to the arrest of three people, including a Utica resident, the Chenango County Sheriff's Office said.

Rachel G. O'Neill, 36, and Mary E. Franklin, 41, both of Norwich and Tarik D. Patterson, 32, of Utica, are charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a Class B felony.

According to officials, a search warrant was executed on the three by the narcotics division and road patrol. During the search, members found six individual baggies of crack cocaine, weighing about seven grams, cash and drug paraphernalia. The three were arrested on Wednesday.

The trio was sent to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on cash bail.
