ST. JOHNSVILLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - The public will decide whether or not two schools will merge in Herkimer County. On Thursday night Oppenheim-Ephratah's Board of Education overturned an earlier decision, that tabled a possible merger between Oppenheim-Ephratah and St. Johnsville Schools.

Oppenheim's Board Members voted 4-3, allowing the public to decide the matter. Voters in both districts will head to the polls on November 1st. Residents will vote at their respective polling places.
