Teen sought by authorities after Rome domestic located Wendesday in Camden

CAMDEN, N.Y. (WKTV) - State Police say a 20 year old who was being sought following a domestic disturbance in the City of Rome on Tuesday afternoon has now been located.

Authorities were looking for information that could lead them to Joseph W. Swancott, 20, who was involved in a domestic dispute at a Turin Road residence in the City of Rome on March 27 around 4:10 p.m. The State Police were called as a result of the dispute, but prior to the arrival of the State Police, Swancott threatened to harm himself and then fled the residence.

He had not been seen since that time.

However, authorities said Swancott was located by State Police around 2:30 p.m. In the Town of Camden in good health. State Police said he was wanted by the New Hartford Police Department and was turned over to them for further action on their warrant.
