TRAFFIC ALERT: Ramp to Route 12N closing for bridge inspection

(WKTV) - An entrance ramp to the Arterial in Utica is closed so DOT crews can make repairs following an accident.

The entrance ramp to the North-South Arterial from Route 8 southbound, Route 840 eastbound and Campion Road will be closed Thursday morning at 9:00am. This will allow engineers to closely inspect the bridge structure following Tuesday's accident. It was then that a truck traveling from Route 840 to the northbound arterial hit the bridge which resulted in the closure of the Arterial and the ramp.

Also, between 9:00am and 11:00am Thursday, the right-hand lane of Route 12N will be closed, along with the entrance ramp to Route 12N from Route 8S, Route 840E and Campion Road.

Detour signs will be in place and drivers are being advised to seek alternate routes.
