Recruiter back from South Korea: "most aren't concerned" with war

By KELLY PETERS

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - As fears continue to build about North Korea's threat of nuclear war, some are saying too much hype is being put on the situation.

Despite intense media reports, the nation's closest neighbor, South Korea, isn't panicking just yet.

John Erdogmus, an international recruiter at Utica College, just arrived back from South Korea and says the atmosphere was anything but tense.

"People are really used to it," he said. "They're like, 'it's the same rhetoric we've been hearing for 50 or 60 years,' so life goes on."

In fact, he said that most South Korean's are more worried about the newest song from the korean "Gangam Style" superstar, Psi, than they are about the threat of war, Erdogmus said.
