Remington Arms to manufacture rifles for country of Oman

ILION, N.Y. (WKTV) - Remington Arms has received a new license to locally manufacture 5,000 rifles for the country of Oman.

Congressman Richard Hanna (R-24) confirmed the announcement to NEWSChannel 2 Thursday evening..

The M-4s rifles will be manufactured at the Ilion plant.

Sources in Congressman Hanna's office did not yet know how much revenue this license will bring in.

Hanna said, "The expertise and quality of Remington and their centuries of experience are clearly recognized not only by our own men and women in uniform who depend on their products to keep them safe on the front lines, but also nations around the world."

Hanna is up for reelection to congress. He is challenged by Democrat Dan Lamb in the 22nd congressional district race.
