Renowned astrophysicist to speak at MVCC

(WKTV) - Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson will speak Wednesday at Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica.

The lecture will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Robert R. Jorgensen Athletic and Event Center on the Utica campus. Tyson is the Frederick P. Rose director of the Hayden Planetarium at Rose Center for Eath and Space at the American Museum of National History. He is the recipient of 18 honorary doctorates and the NASA Distinguished Public Service Medal, the highest award given by NASA to a nongovernment citizen. He is working on a 21st-century reboot of Carl Sagan's televisioln series "Cosmos," to air on the FOX network in the spring of 2014.
