Yorkville mayor injured in car pedestrian accident

Yorkville, N.Y. (WKTV) - Crews arrived at the scene of a car-pedestrian accident, early Thursday morning.

It happened at 6:59 a.m. near near 826 Oriskany Blvd. It's in the area of Main Street, the Commercial Drive ramp, and Cooper Ave. near the Express Mart according to 911 dispatches.

According to Yorkville Police, the pedestrian struck in the accident was Yorkville mayor, Anthony Leone.

Leone was confirmed to be the victim, Thursday evening. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for treatment and released with no serious injuries.
